Hello peeps,

I was born on April 26, 1995, in Istanbul, Turkey.

Funny enough, the day I was born is also remembered for a rare win: the Turkish National Football Team beat Switzerland 2–1 in the European Championship group stage. Quite the start, right?

Aside from a few small adventures, I’d say I had a pretty quiet childhood. I spent most of my time exploring technology—so yes, I’m familiar with floppy disks, cassette tapes, arcade machines, and all that retro goodness. My very first computer ran MS-DOS, which meant nothing but a black screen and a blinking cursor. I had no clue how anything worked, but somehow I was already playing games like Prince of Persia and Wolfenstein SS.

I also remember listening to music from two separate discs… good times.

I’m also lucky to have an amazing brother who’s been walking a path quite similar to mine—turns out curiosity and code run in the family.

In middle school, I joined a licensed folk dance team. In 2008, we even represented Turkey in international competitions held in Hungary, Bulgaria, and Romania. As for the results—let’s just say it’s the experience that counts. 😉

Later on, I went to Yenilevent Anatolian High School.

High school was a fun time—I made great friends, joined events, and really came out of my shell. It helped me grow socially and shaped a big part of who I am today.

Since 2008, I’ve been building web applications in various languages as a freelancer. My journey into the world of software started out of pure curiosity—and a bit of obsession, to be honest. Back in those early days, I was active on a tech forum where I landed my very first freelance project. That was the moment things got real: I realized I could actually get paid for doing something I genuinely enjoyed. From that point on, I was hooked.

In 2013, I started my studies in Computer Engineering at Kadir Has University with a scholarship. After a year of English prep, I spent four more years diving into algorithms, data structures, and plenty of sleepless project nights. Beyond the lectures, I made great friends—we built projects together, learned from each other, and explored new tools and technologies. Those years played a big role in shaping both my technical skills and collaborative mindset.

That’s when my professional journey began. I joined Doğuş Teknoloji as a full-stack developer and worked there for over five years—years filled with incredible experiences, challenging projects, and friendships that I still hold close to this day.

After that journey, I felt the urge to seek out bigger challenges—new environments, new problems to solve, and opportunities to grow both personally and professionally.

Eventually, I made a big decision: to change jobs—and countries.

Now, I’m living in Warsaw, Poland, and working at Luxoft as a senior full-stack developer.

Thanks for stopping by and reading my story — if you’ve made it this far, we should probably grab a coffee sometime. 🙂

Until then, take care and see you around!
